A life without love...

is like a year without summer...
this is an altered plastic box I saved from the recycling bin at my lab. The size of the box is 3.5 in x 4 in. For the lid, I cut a piece of light blue paper (from Summer Driggs) and glued it from the inside. And cut 4 strips of green paper (also from Summer Driggs) and glued them on the sides of the box.
I used Big wet kisses from Michelle Perkett (her Etsy store here) that I colored with colored pencils and cut out before attaching it to the front of the box lid. On top of the image I placed a plastic bag filled with transparent hair gel that I framed it with some scraps of yellow (base) and blue cardstock. I wrote the sentiment with black pen and added some homemade dew drops (I´ll reveal the secret if you want to know hihihi)
On the sides I cut a piece of matching blue ribbon and tied a button with a piece of white cord. Green button for the large sides

and purple buttons for the short ones. I need to improve how the plastic bag looks. I didn´t have those tiny zip bags at home so I made my own with a plastic bag, but I couldn´t get rid of the wrinkles. You only notice them when you look at the box from the side but next time I´ll be sure to use a bag without wrinkles!
I´m submitting this to participate at Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge blog: Summer theme.

I would have never thought of using hair gel in a bag! I read your entire description because I just had to know how you created the water effect. This is a really nice creation, and you're helping the planet by recycling. Well done! :) ~ Sandi
