Hello crafty friends! I made my first graduation card to a friend who got his PhD last week. I struggled a little bit with it since I didn´t know what to do (and how): first it had to be a male card (hard...), second it has to be an adult greeting card to someone getting the highest level of formal education (hard too...), and third I wanted it to be not formal but on the funny side...
The easiest part was to printing it! it reads in Spanish:
Congratulations! the world is yours
I used one of the fabulous images from
The Graphics Fairy, then I give a bit of color with 4 of the 8 Copic markers I own: BG15, G000, E00 and C-3, not an easy task either since I don´t know how to use them yet... but they gave the card a graphic look that I was hoping I could achieve ☺
And I also wanted to show you some paper flowers I made with cupcake liners, those you buy at the dollar store? yep, those... you fold them at its middle twice to have a quarter of a circle and then glue them in two layers on a cardstock punched circle (i.e. you´ll need 8 folded liners to make a flower), glued a crystal stone (also from the dollar store) on the center and ruffled the petals a bit to give them dimension, very easy! and fun to make, now I need to use them!
