Gift tags!

Hello dear friends! Tuesday and my second post of the week, whoo hoo! I wanted to share a nice project I made: some very cute gift tags. I loved how they turned out, I made them to embellish some paper bags full of yummy goodies for my lab mates☺

I printed the images (from The Graphics Fairy) on cardstock, cut them around and tied a piece of yute, I closed the paper bags with a piece of washi tape, I hung the tags with a tiny decorated clothespin (I glued a sequin snowflake and a brad). Very easy but beautiful! I´ll make more because they look great and can be used for everything!

Easter bunnies

True to my resolution here is another card using some images that have been waiting sometime on my folder to be colored. Also, I had this yellow cardstock for ages! because yellow is not one of my favorite colors most of the time I don´t use it (or better I don´t know how to use it...) but here I ended up with an easter card.
I saw this idea of glittering a doble sided tape and here is my try, pretty neat and easy!! love it! Then I took a scrap of glittered patterned paper, cut it and rounded its tips up before placing it on the card.
The images are from Bugaboo that I placed them together in a square fashion with PS, colored them with colored pencils, layered it with black cardstock and added a bit of glossy accent, they look cute, don´t they?

You are special...

Love how this card turned out, not only because I´m loving the CAS look of my cards lately but also because I´m starting to learn how to stamp images (not only print them!). I´m not very good at it yet but I´ll make it better every time... besides it´s a wonderful excuse to start spoiling myself a bit with new and colorful inks pads!
This card was very easy and quick to make, as you can see. Here you have a front view to show you a few details like some glass seed beads on the center of the flowers, glittered the butterfly wings and added a trio of pearled paint dots on the bottom left corner.
Thank you for stoppping by!

All Clean & Simple

Hello blogland friends! I made a few cards with a C&S look and I wanted to share them with you (and play at some challenges too!). Here are two of them:

this first one is very simple indeed! I bought a set of clear stamps a while ago and it´s my first card using them (actually one of them). I stamped the image several times with purple ink and a sentiment with black ink, then I stitched clear glass seed beads to frame the stamped area. I made this one because a friend (Paloma) asked me to make a card for a girlfriend of hers, and I thought it could be a nice present not only the card but a card with a pin she could wear. The pin is made out of scraps of fabric, dollar store flowers, pop tabs and glass piece from a chadelier that I brought at the flea market. It looked so pretty!
With this one I´m playing at:

My time to craft challenge #171
Creative Belli blog challenge #136: Frames
Cute card Thursday challenge #201: you are a gem!

The second one is a digital card I made for my dear boyfriend Luis, I sent it to him by e-mail and he placed it as wallpaper on his computer ☺ it looks like he liked it! the images are from The Graphics Fairy, I "stamped" a tiny heart and the sentiment, it reads in Spanish PS: I love you.

{BOO} to you!

Hello my dear blogger friends, it´s been a while since my last post but I catched a huge bug this week and I´m way behind my posts. You´ll see them during the comming days ☺
I´m starting with this hanger I made to inspire you at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge, this week we have a wonderful sketch for you and we are asking also to have a Halloween theme in your creation. Hope you can join us in the fun!
This a recycled and decorated old CD, the first picture is the front of the hanger and the second one is the back of it. As you can see I used the cut out of the frame in the front to decorate the back (patterned paper from my stash), I couldn´t throw it away! so I had to use it.
I started by coloring the image, the cute witch is from Michelle Perkett, another beautiful image! I colored it with colored pencils and blended them with gamsol. Then I cut a pice of a children construction paper to cover the front and back of the CD, I love this one because is splattered with glitter! I cut the frame with my cricut machine and glued it to the center as best as I could, I stitched large glass seed beads on the inside of the frame and drawn faux stitches with white gel pen on its outside. I placed the image by adding dots of strong instant glue on some beads to hold it in place. The cute bat and the corn candy are halloween stickers that I placed first on scraps of paper and cut carefully around, the bat is placed with foam tape as is one of the corn candy. You can see its 3D effect here
then I spelled BOO with foam stickers that I also faux stitched with white gel pen. Bellow it I hand wrote the sentiment. On the back I keep it simple: I faux stitched the cut out as I did on the front and added a sentiment, used another sticker (the cute ghost) and placed it with foam tape. To finish the hanger I glued directly on the CD a stripe of tissue pink paper ruffling it a bit while I was placing it before gluing the decorated cardstock. A piece of fishing line finishes it and there you have it ready to be hung!
Thank you for stopping by!

Dream...

Another Thursday! the perfect day to show you my inspirational creation for this week challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday. This time we are challenging you to create something using your favorite technique.
At this time my favorite technique is embossing, I got my cuttlebug this summer from my dear friend Gaby and I can not stop playing with it... I´ve been reading tutorials and watching videos so I can make the best of the machine and I´m loving it!! (but it´s a lot healthier than eating you-know-what ☺). I simply embossed the front of the card and then sanded it a bit, it helped to pop the gorgeous design of the embossing plate. Then I decided it needed to sparkle so I glued some iridescent sequins and seed beads. I finished the card by stamping the sentiment on a scrap of vellum paper and placing a dragonfly (a very old rub-on) with foam tape for dimension. And that´s it! very simple indeed... but it looks very nice in real life.

As I told you a few days ago, I also want to show you a few more pins I made by recycling those cute expresso cups I´m loving so much and embellished them with scraps of fabric a sweet and very talented lady gave me, thank you Vicenta!! they are gorgeous!

Thank you for looking!

A little note...

Today we started a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday. This week we are challenging you to create something using puches or dies and this set of little cards are my inspirational creation for you.
I cut the mushrooms with my cricut machine and I used both the positive and negative image to make two cards out of one cut.
The cards are very simple (yes... I´m still on the CAS mood...) and I tried for them to be easy to make because I really wanted to make a set. This is my first one and it only has four cards but the number of them can be easily expanded, it took me no time at all to finish it!
Behind the images I placed clear tape and glittered over with a very thin glitter, it sparkles a little and it´s still transparent enough to see the patterned paper on the back. I placed the shrooms on the front of the cards with foam tape and finished them by stamping a sentiment in a corner and tying a piece of sheer ribbon. Hope you like them ☺
Thank you for stopping!

Hi chick!

Second post today, whoo hoo! this card is also made to inspire you at The Outlawz Twisted Thursdays challenge this week. And here I am again with another clean and simple one. This time I´m using a set of clear stamps from Artemio that I colored with colored pencils. I embellished my card with a button a piece of silk thread and a tag (where I stamped HI! and added a red rhinestone).
Here you have a closer look. I just love these set! all the images are so cute...
Thank you again for stopping, have a nice day!

A cupcake

Hello everyone, here I have a cupcake to celebrate! I don´t have a birthday to celebrate yet but I like to make birthday cards. This one is a very simple card, fun to make and I´m pleased on the result, so I have something to celebrate indeed... I like this card a lot!
This gorgeous image is from Michelle Perkett that I colored with colored pencils, embellished with 3 rhinestones (can you find them?), cut out and placed on the card with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment on the card and then I embossed it, to give a different look I just rounded the corners.
This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge we are challenging you to use a recipe: 2 of the following colors red, yellow, brown orange; and three of the following embellishments brad, ribbon, eyelet, button, flower, pearls or rhinestone. On this card I used red and yellow to color and three rhinestones as embellishments. Hope you can join us in the fun this week too ☺
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Day!

I´ve been playing in my craft room this morning, yaayy!! it felt sooo good.... In a few days will be one of my friend´s birthdays and this is the card I made for him, hope he likes it!
I kept it simple (my brain needs simplicity lately...) but I like how it turned out. I used a scrap of patterned paper (from a very old stash) that I pierced on the outside, a expresso crushed cup and two stamps I had for a long time now.
I wanted to play at The Outlawz Sunday´s clean and simple challenge this week and this is what I came up with, we are to use our tiniest stamp to make it the focal point of our card, the candles are almost an inch tall and is one of my tiniest stamps, it was a nice challenge, it made me think what could I do!

A  couple of weeks ago was one of my sister´s birthday, Daniela, and I made a pin for her with a recycled expresso cup too, she loved it! and I´m so happy she liked it

I made another one for my sister´s friend Karina
I didn´t wanted to show them before she got her present, so here you have them. I like how they turned out so I made several more that I´ll be showing them to you later ☺
Thank you for stopping! have a nice day

Thank you!

Second post today... I made this Thank You card as inspiration for The Outlawz Thursday´s Twist challenge. We are challenging you this time to use at least one of the images provided for this challenge thanks to Anne´s creative hands.

I used Maple swirls and Fall leaves from Anne´s Digital art. I printed the maple swirls on a scrap of shimmering white paper, colored the image with colored pencils and embellished it with glitter. Then I glued the paper on the card and pierce a circle to frame the image. I printed the fall leaves on scraps of newsprint paper, colored with pencils, piece them and placed them with foam tape following this sketch. Finally I punched the right corner of the card and stamped the sentiment on the bottom.
You still have time to play with us this week and the images are gorgeous! thank you for stopping!

Bundle of {JOY}

Hello my blog-land friends! Today I want to show a card I made to inspire you for our new challenge this week at The Outlawz POM challenge group. This time we are challenging you to make your own patterned paper, how great is that?!
In my case I used a set of baby clear stamps I bought a while ago and I´ve never used... (how come????!!!) they are so cute! I used the safety pin stamp to stamp in different directions a scrap of yellow paper and gave a bit of color to the images with colored pencils. I placed my patterned paper on the center of the card (beautiful white shimmering cardstock) and stamped the sentiment on the bottom. Then I stitched all around with embroidery floss and some clear glass sead beads. The main image is a stamped onesie, colored with colored pencils also, and placed it with foam tape.
I love how it looks, very simple and easy to make, hope you can join us in the fun ☺ Thank you for stopping!

Joy!

Hi there! here I am with another creation to inspire you for the POM Thursday challenge at The Outlawz. This time we are challenging you to create  a winter glitter! how fun is that?! with all this hot weather around it was a bit cooling to think about something for winter...
This is a toilet paper roll (empty, of course...) that I dressed up to turn it into a cute little gift box.
The image is a Snowflake medallion from Fred She Said that I colored with chalks, I used two shades of purple but the picture doesn´t show it well. I printed it twice so I could cut its center to place it on top with foam tape. Then, I glittered some parts of the medallion and glued some chunk glitter hope you can see it in the picture above) and topped it with a star button. I finished the box tying a piece of ribbon and spelled JOY with stickers and a snowflake button (all from my stash).
Hope you now feel completely inspired and join us in the fun!

Gift card holder

Hello my blogger friends, here I´m showing you what I made to inspire you for the POM Thursday challenge at The Outlawz this week (yes, this one is posted on time!). The challege is to make a gift card holder.
I started with a piece of red cardstock and I made a pocket with a triangle in one corner to slip the card. Took a piece of that pretty embossed white vellum paper and layered it with an embossed a tranpsarency sheet (loving my new cuttlebug!). I faux stitched around with a white gel pen and glued black sequins on the corners.
To make the embellishment I took a gold empty expresso coffe cup and crushed it, then I glued a red leather flower and finished it with another black sequin. I also wanted to add a bit of glitter to the gift card, but it didn´t work so well, you can see the right dress in it where I glittered some parts of it, but the glitter stuck to the whole card... so it was kind of messy... but it gave a nice touch anyway...
Hope you like this one and you can join us in the fun this week. And you have to see what the other girls did! you can not miss those great ideas!
Have a lovely day, thanks for looking.

Sweetie pie!

I made this summer colored card for POM Thursday challenge at The Outlawz, this time it was an open challenge: anything goes. I started by embossing part of the front of the card, then I took two pieces of pattered paper, border punched them and placed them on the card, I made faux stitches with a black pen. I tied a piece of turquoise raffia and finished it with a small tag, where I printed the sentiment on it.
How cute is this robo pie... the image is Bot pie from Melissa Liban, once more I colored the image with colored pencils and glittered the bow after. Cut around the image and placed it with foam tape.
It´s a very sweet card and it looks better in real life...

Thanks for stopping by, tomorrow I have something for you ☺

A Giraffairy

Have you seen a giraffary in a cup before? I do! and loved this one in particular. This is Giraffairy from Melissa Liban. I´m so fond of this creation, I made it for the beautiful, darling and oh so cute daughter of my dear friend Gaby, Ana Sofia. I remember Anita wanting to be a butterfly when she was a toddler, how cute of her!! and when I saw this image I just knew what I wanted to make with it. It traveled 8000 miles!
I started coloring the image with colored pencils and glittered the skirt and wings, and I added a bit of blue glitter glue on her magic wand, cut around and glued a toothpick on the back.
Then I took a small plastic ice cream bowl and painted it with acrylic paint, I paint it resembling a little pond, the border reminded me to stones so I painted them in brown and glittered after.
I found those lotus plastic flowers at the dollar store and I had to have them.... I glued the flower with a little water bottle cap underneath and stuck the giraffairy in the center of the flower.
Here you have a picture of my hand with it so you can compare the size, it´s very small...
This is my inspiration creation for The Outlawz  POM challenge group where the challenge was to use things with wings.
Thank you once more for stopping, hope you like my project, I enjoyed every second spent in it!

Father´s day card

how do you like this one? I don´t make male cards as often, so they are a real challenge to me.
I made it for The Outlawz Father´s day challenge at their POM Thursday challenge group. The challenge was to make at least one of your own embellishments. I made the 3-D stars
I cut a bunch of them from scraps of paper with my cricut machine and I followed Heidi´s directions, they are very easy and the results is great! I love them! and now I have a few to use on other projects too.
The image is Bunny dad, boy and girl from Melissa Liban, I colored them with colored pencils and cut in a star shape. A piece of patterned paper cut the plain of the card base with a few faux stitches with white gel pen, placed the image with foam tape and hot glued the little stars as in a circle, To finish the card I hand wrote the sentiment with a black marker.
I think it turned out cute, hope you like it too!
Thanks for stopping ☺
