Make a wish...

Close your eyes... make a wish... and blow the candles! it´s almost your day Maria!
I made this card for my daughter´s birthday, she is turning 11 in a few days! I can not believe how fast time go...

this is Maria when she was 1 year old, and how is she now... she turned into a wonderful little lady, I look at her sweet face and I my heart swells with love and pride, and my eyes go watery (as usual in me, she is always asking me why I cry every time I see her pictures... no wonder.. she is adorable!).
Now with my card again. I used two cute images from Sliekje and colored them with colored pencils. I place the fairy on the fron of the card, where I made a banner by folding rectangles of patterned paper (from Jaime) and cutting them in a triagular shape, and then I strung white cord through them before attaching them with foam tape. I stitched glass beads to the front to add dimension and a bit of sparkle.

 I also applied glitter glue to the magic wand of the fairy and her crown, and rubbed with my finger some body shimmer dust on her wings. I stamped "make a" with some old alphabet rubber stamps and "Wish" is from a sticker sheet from Provo Craft.
I did the inside too with this cute mouse holding the cake. I added some puff paint to the icing of the top cake and some lace as a doily.

Madrid, a beautiful city

Madrid is a beautiful city, it´s the city where I live since Feb. 2007.  I love to take pictures of the places I visit, and this one has a charm as if by magic with all visitors. We all want to come back, some of us are lucky enough to do it, so everytime I wander around the city I make sure to take my camera with me.
I like to take not only pictures of all that it´s easily googled, because I like to have my own version of it, but also of simple details that catch my attention or just simply because...

This wasn´t the first time I stayed in this wonderful country,on my first time I stayed almost 2 month in Valladolid, another city a bit north from here. During that travel I got the chance to travel around the country visiting several cities and I could get a glimpse of what Spain is: so sunny, colorful, were you can have tasty food, meet kind people, see wonderful views, be among centuries of history that still remain... all this and more you can find it here. The second time I stayed also 2 months but this time I was here in Madrid, it was September when all the sun is out and the days are still warm, all inviting for a walk. And that´s exactly what I did, I walked, and walked and walked... and I loved every second of it! When I left the country to go back to mine my thoughts were How I wish I could live here...
Living in Spain is a dream come true for me.
