Hi!!!

Hello there!!! soooo SORRY about not being around lately. I´m having a crazy time with lots of things to do during the day and the last item on my day list is blogging... :-(
I´ve been creating a bit everyday to keep me sane and exploring a few crafts that are not paper related, and learning a few other! I´ll show you everything soon, I promise it won´t take me another 2 months to make an update!
And things will be changing a bit around here, so keep up with me please, and THANK YOU so much from the bottom of my heart! you still stop by my dear blog! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hello everybody! here I am to show you another card I made this week, actually I made it on Sunday afternoon, it was rainy, dark gray skies and cold... and this image from Shirley´s 2 girls was just perfect for a day like that: a cup of tea and take time to relax... (I´m not able to locate their store, do you know if they are still on business?) **** edited to add: I found them here! ****

I had it printed it out since forever... it was time to make something with it, I colored the image with colored pencils, pierced over the steaming hot tea and added some glossy accent to the teapot bubbles and to the tea bag. Then I layered the image with a scrap of cardstock and place it on the card with foam tape.

Papers are part of a winter pad (Aspen Frost) from BasicGrey, gorgeous papers!

Today I went to the dentist to get a molar out, not fun, and no dinner for me today... but I wanted to eat something extra yummy for breakfast tomorrow morning, I´m baking right now this cake, since I´ve been such a good and brave girl today I get to eat as much as I want ☺ it smells soooo good, can´t wait until tomorrow! I´ll try to remember to take a picture to post about it later.

Hello crafty friends! hope you had enjoyed your weekend. I´m here to show you a card you can do in very few minutes with a beautiful outcome.

As you can see is a CAS card, the image is a digi stamp from Floppy latte´s, gorgeous!! I colored it digitally following this inspiration color combo

I stamped the sentiment and added a few rhinestones, as usual it looks better in real life...

tiny mailbox

Hello friends! I made this cute tiny mailbox, it´s 3" wide and 4.5" tall ☺

I followed Sueli´s pattern and instead of using patterned paper I embossed it, then I rubbed white ink and glittered the design with glitter glue.

I assembled  the box and finally added a handmade flower. I´m not sure I like it as it is, I feel like something is missing, I was thinking of adding a little bird or some butterflies somewhere around the flower. Any suggestions?
It was an easy box and very fun to make, it could make a wonderful small gift holder. Sorry about the pictures I had to take them at night, I´m working a lot lately and I can not take pictures during daylight...

Graduation card and paper flowers!

Hello crafty friends! I made my first graduation card to a friend who got his PhD last week. I struggled a little bit with it since I didn´t know what to do (and how): first it had to be a male card (hard...), second it has to be an adult greeting card to someone getting the highest level of formal education (hard too...), and third I wanted it to be not formal but on the funny side...
The easiest part was to printing it! it reads in Spanish: Congratulations! the world is yours
I used one of the fabulous images from The Graphics Fairy, then I give a bit of color with 4 of the 8 Copic markers I own: BG15, G000, E00 and C-3, not an easy task either since I don´t know how to use them yet... but they gave the card a graphic look that I was hoping I could achieve ☺

And I also wanted to show you some paper flowers I made with cupcake liners, those you buy at the dollar store? yep, those... you fold them at its middle twice to have a quarter of a circle and then glue them in two layers on a cardstock punched circle (i.e. you´ll need 8 folded liners to make a flower), glued a crystal stone (also from the dollar store) on the center and ruffled the petals a bit to give them dimension, very easy! and fun to make, now I need to use them!

some pretty tags

Hello everyone! the other day I was looking at my embossing folders and I thought they were all so pretty I needed to use them more often, so I decided right away to make these tags with scraps of craft paper, then I rubbed a white ink pad over them to enhance the details.

 

The images are from The Graphics Fairy (aren´t those chairs gorgeous??!!) I printed them, fuzzy cut them and placed them with foam tape.

 

 

The sentiments are stamped on some scraps of vellum paper too, they are from a Waltzingmouse set, I´m in loooooove with them! they are so versatile.

 

 

To finish I added some Star Dust Stickles to the chairs, a ribbon flower (that I embellished with pearls from a very old necklace) and tied a piece of twine. What do you think? do you like them? I think they can be used as pretty tags to go along with pretty gifts ☺

just a Rose...

Hello my friends! remember the little box I made a few days ago? I was modifying its template and here is the result, they look exactly the same from the outside but the differences are on the inside ☺ (I made the folds different to simplify it)

I decorated it with strips of patterned paper and followed the same design on the front and back of the box. The image is from Bugaboo, that I colored it with colored pencils and fuzzy cut it before gluing it to the box. Finally I embellished it with three beautiful pearls.

Hello my blogger friends! here I am to show you a simple and pretty card I made

I printed a colored image from The Graphics Fairy, cut carefully around and glued a piece of scrap paper where I hand wrote the sentiment before attaching the image to the front of the card with foam tape. The ruffled paper is a strip of a paper napkin (with a pretty design) that I glued it with a hot glue gun.
It looks better in real life though...

a little box...

Hello on Thursday my friends! I made a cute little box, sooooo pretty! easy and quick to make, great size to decorate too ☺ Everything is from my stash! I love when I use all those beautiful little things I find.
Here is the front part

I used a sketch from Case this sketch #12, a felt butterfly, glitter, rhinestones... all thing shinny!
This is the back

the sketch I used here is from Less is more #104, very simple indeed! I added three rhinestones to add sparkle to this part too.
And this is from above, so you can see the ruffled lace I added to the sides

you can add a handle, but I liked it this way, I´m going to place two little bottles of these sample shower gel (or if you like you can add moisturizing instead).

Gift tags!

Hello dear friends! Tuesday and my second post of the week, whoo hoo! I wanted to share a nice project I made: some very cute gift tags. I loved how they turned out, I made them to embellish some paper bags full of yummy goodies for my lab mates☺

I printed the images (from The Graphics Fairy) on cardstock, cut them around and tied a piece of yute, I closed the paper bags with a piece of washi tape, I hung the tags with a tiny decorated clothespin (I glued a sequin snowflake and a brad). Very easy but beautiful! I´ll make more because they look great and can be used for everything!

Hello my friends! here I am to show you a card I made (I finally could find the time to make it!)

I like how all that glitter makes it so soft and pretty. I colored the image (from Shelly´s Images) with colored pencils and blended them with gamsol.

I cut the words for the sentiment and glittered the borders before arranging them in the card with foam tape. The papers are from a Christmas paper pad (Aspen Frost from BasicGray) but I think they look great for a Valentine´s card too.

Winter is not my favorite season, but there are some things I really like when it´s cold outside: snuggle on the sofa with a warm and fragrant cup of tea and a good book, baking bread, baking cakes (and eating them afterwards!), oranges, tangerines and lemons; and crafting as much as I can... today I made this wonderful rustic bread on my new clay pot my sweetheart gave me these holidays, how I wish you could smell it and taste it, so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside...

It looks like Christmas!

Hello my dear blogger friends! Hello my dear and forgotten blog! actually is not I forgot my blog (or you my friends), just I could not find the time to post everything I´ve been crafting and leave you some love on your blogs...
Christmas is almost here!! where did the whole year go??? I love Christmas season, so many sweet childhood memories... besides making some cards I´ve been doing some crafts too!
Here I am to show you a Christmas bunting I made a few days ago

let me tell you I LOVE how it turned out, my pictures are not good (sorry about that!), but believe me it looks better IRL.
I took some pages from an old book and printed the images (all from The Graphics Fairy) directly on the pages, cut them in a flag-like shape and added a few sparkling details: sequins, glass seed beads, glitter glue; colored some parts of the images with colored pencils and used a knotted string to hung it.
It was so easy and fun to make I´m thinking to do more of them to decorate my place all year round! here you have a few more pictures:

On my cooking side I´ve been trying a few baking recipes I had spotted here and there. In particular I made these super-wonderful chocolate cookies (you can find the recipe here) and some beer breads (using this recipe). Hope you try them too! love the smell of my house when I find the time to bake, the cookies are wonderful and the bread is simply amazing!
