Live your dreams

I made this bookmark for a friend of a friend who had been nice to me as a thank you gift. It´s my first time making on of these corner bookmarks, and eventhough it´s not perfect (not very easy to slip on the corner of the page...) I like how it turned out. I hope I can make it better next time!
I enjoyed making this one so much! I started with a corner of an envelope that I used as a base of the bookmark. The image is Brat Bug-Snail from Bugaboo, so cute! I replaced the snail shell with a coffee cups (from the expresso coffee machines) that I crushed to flatten it, then I embellished with a button and a piece of rafia. As usual I colored the image with colored pencils.
The base is a scrap of white pearled paper and I started decorating by making a border with a piece of fabric that I glued to a piece of paper first and then cut in wide scallops, I finished it with a piece of thin ribbon (from my stash).
On the back I keep it simple, too much maybe... so I punch out circles from a scrap of cardstock, glued them in place and I hand wrote the sentiment with black gel pen, it reads: Live the life you´d always dreamed.
Thank you once more for stopping!

Summer Fun!

It´s summer fun at The Outlawz! and here is my inspirational creation for the Thursday´s Prismas and other medium (POM) challenge.
this was really fun to make. I took a very inexpensive wooden frame and painted it with acrylic paint, gave it first a smooth coat and then I used the dried brush technique to add the clouds and shade the green grass.
The image is from Melissa Liban (you can find them in her Etsy shop here) and I colored them with colored pencils. How cute are these little guys enjoying their summer afternoon... I placed them on the frame with foam tape and finished it with a sun and bees.
Would you like to join us? there are wonderful prizes if you play with us ☺
Thank you for stopping and I hope you like this project as much as I do!

Life´s a beach!

Don´t you agree this image is cute, cute, cute??!!! love the tiny toes... It´s Penny from Michelle Perkett. I wanted this card to be as clean and simple as I could make it, I´m still wondering if it´s too clean and simple... anyway I like it a lot!
I colored the image with colored pencils and tried to give Penny a little tan since she is enjoying summer already. I glittered her swimming suit (because she is cute and therefore she has to sparkle).
And I applied that dimensional clear glue to the rubber ring, looks like the real one. After it dried I cut the image and placed it with foam tape to the card. Finally I glued the sentiment that is from another cute image from Michelle Perkett: Olive.

Summer days...

Love those lazy days of summer... Here is card I made using this cute duck from Bugaboo.
Here you have a closer look, I colored the image with colored pencils and added glitter and clear dimensional so it could shine a bit. I hand drawn a frame directly onto the card with a black marker and printed the sentiment. The waves are cut with my cricut and layered on the image.
I made this one to play at the Sunday´s Clean and Simple and Monday´s Greeting cards challenges at The Outlawz, we are having a summer party! there is lots of fun and prices, why don´t you come and play with us? ☺

A floral {hello}

I made a very simple hello card, again using my scraps of paper. First I glued the strip of patterned paper on the card and then stitched its top and bottom with embroidery floss.
I colored the image (Spring fence from Designed to Delight) with my beloved colored pencils and layered it with a scrap of the same craft paper I used for the base of my card, gave it two turns around with a piece of thin twine and added a button as embellishemnt. Then I took my old alpha rubber stamps and spelled hello with dark brown ink. And that´s it! hope you like it as much as I do.

Thanks!

Look how cute are these mini tags! they are very small: 1.5x3 in but cute nevertheless, right? ☺ I was felling like using my scraps of paper today so I started with cutting the tags in red cardstock with my cricut machine, took a scrap of light blue paper and embossed it, and placed them on the tags. Hand wrote Thanks! and glued some black sequins following this great sketch from Iwona.
The images are from Melissa Liban, they are part of a digital paper (you can find her cute images at Missy´s Etsy store) that I punched with a circular punch and layered them with a scalloped circle (cut with the cricut too). Then I placed them on the tags with foam tape. I finished the tags stappling a piece of ribbon.
Loving all these cute little robots! Quick, easy and fun! I think they could be great for thank you note cards (tags) for a boy birthday party.

Baby girl!

How cute is this image from Bugaboo?! I made this card for a friend´s friend who had a baby girl recently to go along with those socks cupcakes you see beside it.
I colored the image with colored pencils and blended them with gamsol, cut around and placed it with foam tape on the card.
My first time using an embossing plate! loving how it looks in real life, never gueesed it could be even better! I finished the card with lace, a piece of ribbon, some buttons and a very old tag.
I wanted to make a gift that wasn´t expensive but at the same time a nice present, so I googled for baby presents and I found this idea to make baby socks cupcakes. I tried to follow some youtube videos but looks like I bought some vey tiny socks and the folding ended very ugly... so I did my own folding trying this and that until I liked how they looked. I took some dollar store flowers and made an embellishment for each of them and finally placed them on silicon cupcakes (also very cheap from the dollar store). Now I have to wrap them nicely and hope the new mother likes them!

On a side and very happy note I´ve been asked to be part of the DT for the Prismas and other medium (POM) challenge at The Outlawz and this is my first creation! this time we are challenging you to use buttons and bows on your creation, it doesn´t have to have an image or be a card, you can play with whatever your inspiration takes you as long as you use some medium different than markers (like copic/promarkers ones, there is an especific challenge for them!).
I´m so excited ot be part of the team and I would like to invite you to join us if you didn´t already, there´s lot of fun going on! you are going to love it there!
