I made a very simple hello card, again using my scraps of paper. First I glued the strip of patterned paper on the card and then stitched its top and bottom with embroidery floss.
I colored the image (Spring fence from Designed to Delight) with my beloved colored pencils and layered it with a scrap of the same craft paper I used for the base of my card, gave it two turns around with a piece of thin twine and added a button as embellishemnt. Then I took my old alpha rubber stamps and spelled hello with dark brown ink. And that´s it! hope you like it as much as I do.
Thank you for stopping!

I enjoyed every second I´d spent making this tag, when I saw this image (Skater boy from Designed to Delight) I knew exactly what I wanted to make... oohhh... what a great feeling!
The tag is made manly by using scraps of paper, I printed the cloud and kite from Bird´s Card blog and paper pieced them, I hand draw the tiny hill and glued it to the tag and pierce holes around it, then I draw faux stitches with a white pen around the tag and placed the cloud and kite to finish it with a piece of twine. Finally I colored the image with colored pencils, cut it around and placed it on the tag with foam tape.
I finished my project with a piece of fabric that I cut in a stripe as a ribbon and stapled it in place, I spelled BOY with white pen and replaced the letter O with a sticker. Love how it turned out! hope you like it too ☺ thanks for stopping!

Look how beautiful this image is! it´s from Designed to Delight and I made this card to play at their challenge this week. The patterned paper on the background is a napkin, they come in gorgeous colors and design lately. I added a piece of ribbon I had for ages, some twine and a button
I colored the Pail of flowers with colored pencils and didn´t blend them because I love the texture of this paper.

My second card is a CAS one
Very simple indeed! but I like it a lot. I used Home from Shirleys 2 girls and I colored it with crayons and blended them a little bit with mineral oil. Glittered the clouds, embellished with a piece of sheer ribbon and two heart pins (I glittered one of them too).
Here is another picture where you can see the iridescent cardstock.

Second post today, woo hoo!! I enjoyed my crafty weekend a lot! you´ll see...
I bought my sweetheart a little Christmas present, here they don´t give presents on Christmas day but the 6th of January: The three Wise men Day, but because we do it on my country I always give him a little something. So I put his present on a lunch paper bag but it was too plain so I made this last minute tag with scraps of everything I found in the folder I have just for scraps...
the image is Whimsical cardinals from Designed to Delight colored with colored pencils following the same color scheme I used for the card I was going to give along with the present (you can see it here). The round calendar is from Sueli that I printed it out on another scrap of the same cardstok I used for the tag base. I placed the image and the calendar with foam tape and tied the tag with a piece of raffia to the bag.

More hangers!

I just love to make them! so every time I´m not into a card mood I just make one of these hanger and I feel completely happy afterwards ☺
This time I made two of them: they are made altering an old CD. I like to alter them because I don´t have to think of the shape, they are already a perfect circle! and they have plenty of room for you to play.
The image is Winter Bear I got from Designed to delight for free because I participated last week on their challenge blog, it´s a progressive challenge where you get in your inbox a free image to play with for the next challenge if you played on the previous one, it´s an all win challenge! isn´t it great?!?! I love the idea!
I colored the bears with colored pencils and blended them with mineral oil: I used two color schemes green-purple and green-orange (click on them to enlarge). I added dots of white puff paint on the falling snow (puffed after it dried) and glitter on the sliding snow, cut in a circle and they were ready to place with foam tape on the center of the front part. The front papers are cut from an old music book and painted with white acrylic paint because they were (too) yellow... then I glued some sequins with coordinating colors in a circle around the image.
On the back I used a napkin as patterned paper glued to a piece of cardstock. The sentiments are from TlcCreations cut in a circular shape too and placed on the centers with foam tape also.
I painted dots of white puff paint around the sentiments and glittered them before it dried (tap the excess and let it dry before puffing it), so you end up with a glittery puffy border...
And finally to hang then I used a piece of fishing line I decorated starting with a sequin snowflake and a few glass seed beads with coordinating colors, I finished it with a loop and another snowflake. When I finished them I found them kind of plain on the borders so I glued a piece of white fiber around, it was a good idea because I could hide the CD edge at the same time.
Hope you like this one and feel inspired to recycle your old CDs too!
