Happy Birthday!

How cute is this image?! it´s Roboto from Tiddly Inks. I made this card for my sweetheart´s Birthday and again I´m using my scraps of paper (I have so many... either use them or throw them away...). Another simple card, I computer generated the sentiment, placed it on the card along with a piece of the patterned paper, drawn stitches with a white gel pen and I raided my sweetheart´s box of nuts and bolts to get a few of them as embellishements.
I colored the image with colored pencils and glittered the balloons, then I cut the image and placed it with foam tape.
On the inside I placed the sentiment, also computer generated with the same font, another piece of the same patterned paper and faux stitched around.
Thank you for stopping by today!

Celebrate!

I had this image for ages, and I don´t know why I didn´t use it before... well.... here I´m using Bella and Bronte cellebrating from Mo´s Digital Pencil to make a Birthday card for a friend,
This is my first time making a monochromatic card, and I very pleased with the result. I colored the image with colored pencils and added a bit of chunk glitter to the confetti to make it sparkle a bit. I took a scrap of yellow cardstock and punched one border and tied a bow with a piece of sheer ribbon, I finished the front of the card by stamping the sentiment.
On the inside I used a sentiment from TLcCreations and I embellished it with a flower (cut with my cricut) and a black brad.

All boy

I enjoyed every second I´d spent making this tag, when I saw this image (Skater boy from Designed to Delight) I knew exactly what I wanted to make... oohhh... what a great feeling!
The tag is made manly by using scraps of paper, I printed the cloud and kite from Bird´s Card blog and paper pieced them, I hand draw the tiny hill and glued it to the tag and pierce holes around it, then I draw faux stitches with a white pen around the tag and placed the cloud and kite to finish it with a piece of twine. Finally I colored the image with colored pencils, cut it around and placed it on the tag with foam tape.
I finished my project with a piece of fabric that I cut in a stripe as a ribbon and stapled it in place, I spelled BOY with white pen and replaced the letter O with a sticker. Love how it turned out! hope you like it too ☺ thanks for stopping!

A cute turtle

Love this cute face! it looks so happy... I made this tiny card (2 in x 3 in) to slip in a gift for a cute baby boy who is turning 1 this week, and I thought he would like this little turtle.
And this is what I did to the inside, I printed the image directly on the card along with the bubble talk and a part of a Happy Birthday song in Spanish that reads something like and for many more birthdays (not a literal translation here...).
I colored the images (Turtle Sundae from 2 Cute) with colored pencils and I placed the front turtle with foam tape for dimension.

A great announcement!

I´m very honored (and very happy!) to announce that I´m part of the Design Team for this new designer Melissa Liban.
Melissa (Missy) is a children illustrator with a style I love and I hope her books and illustrations start being published soon, she is so very talented! A few days ago she opened an Etsy store where you can find her cute digital stamps and clipart.
And while you are curious about Missy take a look at her personal blog, to learn more about her and her drawing, you won´t be disappointed!
Thank you Melissa! I´m very pleased to be part of your DT and looking forward to start working with your cute images. All the best to you!

I don´t remember how I came across Melissa´s blog but I loved her images from the start and asked for her permission to use one of her images to make a card, and she so generously agreed. My first creation was using this cute giraffe
I´m reposting the card here, if you want to see the original post click here.

When she told us she opened an Etsy store I went to see it right away and I found the exact image I was looking for these days, like you read my mind Missy! and this is what I made with it. It´s a very easy card, the ones I like to make most, clean, simple and the image being the focus.

I´m using Bunny and Sunny. On this image I used scraps of paper to paper pierce the umbrella and the bunny raincoat and boots. Shaded them a bit with colored pencils before placing them on the image. The image was colored with colored pencils too and added bit of glossy accent on the rain drops and glitter glue on the puddle. Then I hand drawn a frame around the image with kids markers and added dots of red pearl paint.
I also printed directly onto the card the sentiment, from TLcCreations that embellished with pearled paint and glitter glue.  On the inside I used another sentiment from TLc that reads Brighter days are in your forecast. I made this card for me, to remind me to be patient and no to give up even when hard times are around. ☼

Please, join us at Cute Crafty Land, this is just starting but I´m sure we´ll find lots of fun and cute images, hope to see you there! have a great day

Edited to fix a few things blogger changed on my original post. I lost previous comments by I read them all, thank you so much for leaving them!

Two cards today

Look how beautiful this image is! it´s from Designed to Delight and I made this card to play at their challenge this week. The patterned paper on the background is a napkin, they come in gorgeous colors and design lately. I added a piece of ribbon I had for ages, some twine and a button
I colored the Pail of flowers with colored pencils and didn´t blend them because I love the texture of this paper.

My second card is a CAS one
Very simple indeed! but I like it a lot. I used Home from Shirleys 2 girls and I colored it with crayons and blended them a little bit with mineral oil. Glittered the clouds, embellished with a piece of sheer ribbon and two heart pins (I glittered one of them too).
Here is another picture where you can see the iridescent cardstock.

A bookmark

Today I made this quick bookmark using the color inspiration from colourQ challenge #83, challenging colors by the way.
I started making the background by recoloring Spring cupcake from Designed to Delight digitally matching the inspirational picture colors. Printed them on each side and finished it by printing a sentiment on the back.
Then I singled out the orange cupcake to use it as the main image; printed it, cut it around and embellished it with glitter glue and a rhinestone.
I finished the bookmark by ruffling a piece of ribbon, placing the image with foam tape, a dollar store flower and a button. And here you have it! thank you for stopping!

It´s your day!

I love this image and it was waiting to be colored some time now... This card took me no time at all to put it together!
I took scraps of paper and punched their borders, layer them and completed them with (also) a scrap of ribbon. Then I colored the image (Cupcake Roses from Designed to Delight) with colored pencil and added glitter glue on the flame and dimensional paint on the roses, cut it around and placed it with foam tape.
On the inside I used one of those great sentiments from TLcCreations and finished it with another tiny cupcake colored with colored pencils too. My first time coloring an entire image using just one pencil! but I like the result so far ☺ I might try to do the same again to the main image...

Feliz Día!

Today is Mother´s Day here in Spain, and I made this simple card for my MIL. The base of the card is shimmering cardstock, so beautiful! sadly I can not show you this with a picture...
The flowers are left over flowers from my niece´s birthday place cards (see this post) that I put them in place with hot glue.
As I said, this one is a simple and quick card, as details I added a couple of dollar store leaves, ruffled a piece of sheer ribbon, a hand written sentiment, and ended the card by punching the bottom border.
