A few days ago I saw a challenge with this color combo and at first sight I found it very challenging...
but then I gave it a try (sadly it took me more time and I couldn´t play in the challenge... maybe next time?).
The card looks better IRL but I think you can see the details OK. I took a pretty patterned paper from my stash and cut two strips with an edge scissor that I layered them with a tulle ruffled ribbon. I stamped the sentiment and placed the image with foam tape.
The image is from Michelle Perkett colored with colored pencils and added a few details, glitter glue on the roses, dots of pearled paint on her hair and glossy accent on her lips. I really love the soft look all this colors together and the white background make, so pretty...
Today is my daughter 13th birthday, I think I said this last year too: where did the time go??? I can see in her a sprouting bud eager to bloom... what a blessing!
Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday too!
I want to enter my card in the following challenges:

Hello my blogland friends! here I have a card to show you, another CAS one, very easy and full of color, makes me smile ☺
I took a piece of sheer fabric from my stash and ruffled a bit before gluing it to the card, Then I embellished my handmade ribbon with a few buttons, some pearls and dots of pearled paint and glitter glue.
I finished my card by stamping the sentiment (a very old clear stamp alphabet).
Thank you so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

It´s your day!
another birthday card, and this one was extra fun!
I printed the sentiment directly on the card (by TlcCreations), I took a few sea figures from a bag of confetti I have had on my stash for a while now... glueded some of them and used foam tape on others. And finished the card tying a piece of yellow raffia.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!

I had to make a birthday card for a little boy and I thought this Bugaboo stamp could make the trick. The little guy just loved it!
This one is a very easy and simple one: took two pieces of patterned paper and layer them on the front of the card, then I added a rub on stitch at their joint of the two. I colored the image with colored pencils, cut out and placed it on the card with foam tape. And finally I computer generated the sentiment, printed out, cut and placed it also with foam tape (this time I made no mistake while typing the sentiment! whoo hoo!!! ☺).

I was playing with my clear stamps and ended up with another clean and simple card. Not much to say on how I made it, just stamped in a row four different stamps from the same set with different inks, then I added a few stitches with embroidery floss. The sentiment is a dollar rubber stamp I had for ages...
I finished my card with an embellishent I like a lot: used a crushed expresso coffee cup, a flower, a tiny button and a few puched butterflies.
Thank you so much for stopping by, wishing all moms a wonderful day! (hopefully not so hot as here, we were around 100F/35C this week.... we are in May, please!!!!)

I wanted to use this image from the day I got it but... so I took it out of my folder of printed-ready-to-use-images and used it on this card, how cute! I also took my folder of paper scraps and made this card in no time, love the result and love the feeling of using paper I don´t want to throw away ☺
The image is from Bugaboo stamps, I colored it with colored pencils, cut it around and placed it on the card with foam tape.
I finished the card by stamping the sentiment and adding three gorgeous sequins. Thank you for stopping by!

Hello my friends! here I have another card to share with you. Very simple as you can see but I really love how it turned out.
The typewritter is from The Graphics Fairy that I placed it on the card with foam tape, I added a thin strip of paper behind it where I hand wrote the sentiment. To finish the card I pleated a paper measuring tape (thank you again IKEA!) and a piece of ribbon from my stash.
Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day!

I made a Christmas card! it was a while since my last one... but I wanted to try my X-Mas set of clear stamps. They are so cute!
another clean and simple one, with a little bit of sparkle, a piece of twine and just two main colors: red and blue. I stamped the images on scraps of paper, cut out, colored with colored pencils, glitter them a bit and placed them on the card with foam tape.
On the inside I placed the sentiment and stamped another Santa in gray.
Thank you for stopping by today!

True to my resolution here is another card using some images that have been waiting sometime on my folder to be colored. Also, I had this yellow cardstock for ages! because yellow is not one of my favorite colors most of the time I don´t use it (or better I don´t know how to use it...) but here I ended up with an easter card.
I saw this idea of glittering a doble sided tape and here is my try, pretty neat and easy!! love it! Then I took a scrap of glittered patterned paper, cut it and rounded its tips up before placing it on the card.
The images are from Bugaboo that I placed them together in a square fashion with PS, colored them with colored pencils, layered it with black cardstock and added a bit of glossy accent, they look cute, don´t they?
Thank you for stopping by!

One of my resolutions for this new 2012 was to color all those forgoten images I had, printed or not, and make cards or crafts out of them. This is a very simple and clean card.
I simply stamped the sentiment and placed the image with foam tape.
How beautiful is this image?! it's from A day for Daisies that I printed it on a scrap watercolor paper, then I colored it with watercolor pencils and a water tank brush, and finally I added the shadows with my regular colored pencils. Very simple and it makes me smile when I look at it ☺

I´m trying to use my stash, and my new rubber stamps! I´m still struggling to make good impressions... here you have a good example of not a good stamping (*sigh* maybe one day...) but the paper is great for coloring!
Patterned paper, cardstock, buttons, flower are all oldies on my stash, but I still love them! I colored the image with my colored pencils and added a bit of glitter on the bird´s hats, rounded the bottom corners and faux stitched with white gel pen.
Thank you for stopping!

Second post today! whoo hoo!! ☺ I made this bookmark for my daughter. I had this image from A Day for Daisies printed out for ages waiting to be colored.... love it, it´s simply gorgeous! and goes wonderful with the sentiment I placed on the back of the bookmark (from TlcCreations).I colored the image with colored pencils, I wanted to use shades of purple only (to match the patterned paper I have it on my stash for ages too...), but I added a few touches of pink and glittered the flowers on the mother´s dress. As embellishments just added a few fabric flowers (gift from my sister Dani!) that I decorated with purple sequins and some glass seed beads. Very simple, but I love how it looks in real life!
On the back I layered the sentiment with a punched strip of the same patterned paper, and to make it less bulky I only added the flowers and sequins. Hope you like it as much as I do ☺
Thank you for looking!

Easy and quick, I love how this card turned out... I made it for a (male) friend, it´s very hard for me to do masculine cards that´s why I´m so happy with the result.
How gorgeous is this elephant?! and the cake?! both images are from The Graphics Fairy that I opened them together on PS (the sentiment is also computer generated), print them and cut out, after that I used glitter pens to highlight some parts. Then I placed them both, the image and the sentiment, with foam tape, and voilà! there you have it ☺
I´m also playing at Polka Doodles challenge blog (birthday cards for boys or men).

Loving this hoopskirt frame stamp! it´s part of a set of clear stamps my sweetheart got me (isn´t he sweet or what???).
here you have a close picture, I stamped two of them directly onto the card base and stamped a swirl (from another clear stamp set) on the top part to add them a bit of height; the third one I stamped it on a scrap of a book page I painted with pink acrylic paint, cut it around, glued a few feathers behind and placed it with foam tape. Then, I thought something was missing so I glittered them a bit.
To make the bottom border I pleated a paper measuring tape (thank you IKEA!!! ♥), I took a piece of this beautiful embossed vellum paper I had for ages and cut around the image, I didn´t like it while I was making the card but I sticked with my first idea just to trust myself a bit... and now I think it looks delicate and pretty, what do you think? I finished my card with a tiny tag and a sentiment.
Have a nice day!! and thank you for stopping by ☺

Love how this card turned out, not only because I´m loving the CAS look of my cards lately but also because I´m starting to learn how to stamp images (not only print them!). I´m not very good at it yet but I´ll make it better every time... besides it´s a wonderful excuse to start spoiling myself a bit with new and colorful inks pads!
This card was very easy and quick to make, as you can see. Here you have a front view to show you a few details like some glass seed beads on the center of the flowers, glittered the butterfly wings and added a trio of pearled paint dots on the bottom left corner.

Hi my blogger friends! Since it´s been a month from my last post I wanted to show you four cards I made (just for you to know I´m still creating!).
I had tons and tons of fun making these simple cards, all images are from The Graphics Fairy that I either printed directly on the blank card or on a piece of cardstock. The sentiments are half in English half in Spanish (they mean the same in both languages), I computer generated them in PS, cut them and added them to the cards. I finished them all with a bit of glitter, stitches and glass seed beads.
If you want to see the details just click on each of them to enlarge.
Thank you for stopping by! have a nice day!
